:: the sacred garden ::

The following body of work is a graphics collection entitled The Sacred Garden.  It is an exploration of both beauty and torture incorporating "appropriated art" using bondage photographs I have collected over time from various sources, and imagery of flowers by Georgia O'Keefe as well as my own digital flower creations.  The works were inspired by Octave Mirbeau's novel The Torture Garden in which I imagined the "...vuviod clusters..." of the blossoms to be women writhing and blossoming with passion,  their limbs entwined and bound by meaty vines and rooted to the soil.
