duana is currently attending art college, majoring in photography and film so she can take nude photos of people and call it art. She has ambitions of becoming a pornographer and stealing Jim Morrison's corpse so she can f@ck his bones. She enjoys traveling to Venus through astral projection, resurrecting dead poets and gravedigging. duana believes insanity is next to genius, and being a combination of both, comes from a long line of murderers, schizophrenics, necromancers, and nymphomaniacs. Her name is Welsh meaning little dark maiden. |
duana's works have been most recently featured in Venus
or Vixen, Tears on Black Roses, Skin & Bones, Earwig Flesh Factory,
MindFire,
Bloody Muse, Dark Chronicles, Bonetree, Scarlet Letters,
Blood Moon zine and will soon be appearing in Dancing Skinless &
Parchment Symbols. Future projects include her gritty street-urban
vamp novel Blood Dreams (which you can read an excerpt from here),
Devouring Seduction a vampy collection of stories, prose and artwork
due out this fall, and an erotic book of dark faerytales and photography
to be completed 2001.
Her major influences include Sylvia Plath, Jim Morrison, Anais Nin, William Blake, Edgar Allen Poe, John Keats, Starhawk, David Bowie, Tom Waits, Henry Rollins, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, David Kronenburg, Quintin Tarentino, Martin Scorsese, Edvard Munch, Mapplethorpe, Caspar David Friedrich, Van Gogh, John William Waterhouse and Julia Margaret Cameron.
